Lobby Events

FitnessWorks will now open up the lobby to those in the health and wellness industries to do informational meetings, events, etc. FitnessWorks will provide a place to meet with neither recommendations nor endorsements of products or speakers.

The fee to use the space for this type of event is $50.00. For this fee, we will email our members notices of the event, include it on our website, and post your informational flyer in the gym. Additionally, we could announce the event in our group fitness class during the week prior to the event.

We strongly encourage outside marketing as well since the lobby is accessible to the public. If you would like to schedule up to a 2 hour time slot, please click here to email Ginger.

Fitness Contests

COMMIT TO GET FIT is a is a 12 week fitness program with proven success and it has something for everyone! Do you need motivation to keep your workouts consistent? Do you want guidance from our health and fitness professionals? Would you like to track your body fat, lean body mass, metabolic rate and set attainable goals? Would you like to join a group of people with similar health and fitness goals for a greater “sense of community”? Then this is the program for you!

In addition to exclusive health and fitness advice, there are incentives to try new classes, workout a minimum of 3 times per week, obtain the most improved male or female results plus much more.

At the end of the program, there will be a special celebration of achievement and prizes awarded in many areas including dedication, attitude as well as most improved.

Not a problem! Join just the "Commit To Get Fit" program and receive special pricing for this 12 week program which includes full member privileges as well as structured and monitored introduction or reintroduction to fitness. After the program, you can continue your progress as a FitnessWorks Member with FREE enrollment. Our 11th Commit To Get Fit Program is going on now! Here are the exciting details for Commit To Get Fit #11 that runs from 2/8/10-5/2/10:

  • Commit Kick-Off on Saturday, February 6th at 9:30am: This is an important meeting to receive your Welcome Folder, learn all about the program, ask questions, and more!
  • PRE - Measurements (2/1—2/6): Establish a starting point before the contest with your Body Fat Percent, Lean Muscle Mass, Weight and Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) as well as take your Before Picture. Sign-ups are 1/2—1/31 at the Front Desk.
  • NEW...Nutrition and Exercise Log: This exclusive log is filled with everything you’ll need to stay motivated and keep yourself on track! Living a healthy lifestyle requires having healthy habits, recording your thoughts, actions and food choices that may be getting in the way of your goals. Take the step and make the commitment! If you want to keep a food diary beyond the first week of Commit To Get Fit, click here to view and print a blank page. Make as many copies as you wish.

  • Nutrition Seminar on 2/10 at 5:15pm: Brooke Griffiths, Registered Dietician, will talk about how to “Making Weight Loss Easier”. Allow your body to become a calorie-burning machine. Learn to give your body and brain what they need so you can achieve the results you want. Feeling grumpy or hungry on a diet is a sign that you are not only on the wrong diet, but that you will gain back whatever you managed to lose. You should feel better with your new diet/exercise routine. She’ll discuss healthy choices, simple dietary substitutions, fueling your workouts, and safe weight loss goals.   • Exclusive Group Training Sessions: Join FitnessWorks trainers Dani Cobb and Lindsay Bartsch as they tighten your tummies, sculpt your shoulders and burn out your bottoms. These exclusive training sessions give the inside secrets of personal training, with the excitement of a committed group!   • Special Drawings For Everyone: Whether you are a senior, a parent who uses KidWorks, a member who enjoys Group Fitness classes or would like to try them, this program has a prize drawing for you!
  • POST - Measurements: After the program during "Week 13" (5/3-5/8), you will be measureed again to see the positive changes from all of your hard work. Sign-ups will be 4/21-5/2 at the Front Desk.
  • PARTY on Saturday, May 15th at 9:30am!! Celebrate with us, you deserve it! Winners will be announced including the grand prize drawing of a 6 month membership (attendance required to win the drawings).

Here are some of the exciting Club Enhancements added in Fall 2009:


Life Fitness 95 Si Stairclimber
Updating our selection of step options in the cardio area, we hope you enjoy the newest Life Fitness Stepper. Octane Pro3700 Elliptical Machine
One more Octane to sit next to our existing popular cardio choice! This machine features Converging Path handlebars which are ergonomically designed to deliver the most effective, comfortable workouts. Combined with the patented MultiGrip handlebars and convenient fingertip controls on the moving handlebars, this is undeniably upper-body at its best. Spinner NXT
We just added 2 more popular Spinner NXT bikes to our Spin® studio. Manufactured by Star Trac and used in thousands of clubs worldwide, the Spinner NXT is their top-of-the-line bike. Featuring incredible styling and a corrosion-resistant, all-aluminum frame and SPD compatible pedals, the Spinner NXT is the ultimate in indoor cycling bikes.


Kettlebells
A personal trainer's newest tool for total body strength building. All members have access to these new weights.


Personal Controllers
15 new Broadcast Vision personal controller units for the cardio area. Listen to TV or the radio with better reliability and reception.


Atomic Clocks
To ensure the clocks in the gym are insync, we replaced all wall clocks with atomic clocks. Accurate to 10 Billionths of a second per day, the atomic clocks are continually calibrated to the atomic radio signal out of Fort Collins, Colorado. You can even set your watch to them. Now you will always be on time!
PLUS... 24 new yoga mats, more fitness balls and BOSU's, new mats/flooring, cable system handles, and more!

Club Enhancement fee is an effective way that FitnessWorks uses membership dollars to maintain existing fitness equipment and to purchase new equipment on a yearly basis. All members are able to enjoy the benefits of Club Enhancement.
